Melbourne psych upstarts, My Elephant Ride release their brand new single, ‘Sat In Tears’. Produced by the band, with a little help from the likes of Stu Mackenzie (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) and Daniel Caswell (Dune Rats, The Living End), its a track that represents the band at their best; Layered vocals, poetic lyrics, smart songwriting, screaming guitars and above all, a completely fun delivery.
’Sat in Tears’ sees the band once again join forces with film maker Dr D Foothead (The Babe Rainbow, The Murlocs) for the accompanying video. After shooting “one of the most impressive local music videos of the year” (Tonedeaf) for the bands first single, ‘In The Water’ in the Himalayas, this time we are taken to a drought affected lake in breathtaking Tasmania to witness a bushranger’s hallucinations.
After spending the better part of 2016 abroad, teaching yoga in Paris, Bali and India, this coming summer will see the band head up the east coast in support of their debut album, INTO THE JUNGLE.
INTO THE JUNGLE will be released through Wigwam Records on Friday October 28.
