Brisbane rapper Rivilin recently released his brilliant new album Ratrose.
Ratrose is a dark collection of songs that was written after the musician was involved in a terrible car accident. Rivilin locked himself in a room and commenced writing about watching everyone around him disappear as a means of mental recovery.
It is very clear that Rivilin is venting a lot of pent up anger on this record, and he isn’t afraid to go deep into issues surrounding mental health and isolation.
Rivilin debuted in 2016 and has since dropped a plethora of different releases. After releasing his album Nobody in 2019, Rivilin went straight back into the studio to record his Ratrose.
Keep an eye on this young Brisbane native, as he shows no sign of letting up his rapid pace anytime soon.
